Value of Dianna Effner's Classic Collection Doll?

I have a Dianna Effner's Classic Collection Original & First Emily By Ashton Drake 1996. The doll was never out of her box. I need to know how much she is worth.

Aston Drake dolls are mass-produced and worth much less than what you paid. I would expect to get $25 for it.

She was one of four for a collection Dianna Effner did and she was discontinued in 1999.

Ashton Drake loves to give the dolls fancy names and say they are collection dolls or something else. When in reality, these dolls are mass produced and normally they make around 1000 - 5000 of them.

Therefore, they aren't worth much at all. You might be able to sell this for $15 to $25 if anyone is interested. Normally doll collectors only will pay for dolls from famous doll makers.

I'd post it online for $20 and see what you can get.

I looked on Ebay for her and there's one still in the box (which mine is) where the Starting bid is $80.00 and the Price is 105.00

Although as a general rule, Ashton Drake dolls are low value dolls, their dolls in the early 1990's were not all mass produced so your doll is one of the rarer ones and may be of a higher value.

  • The doll listed on eBay for $80 and buy-it-now at $115 did not sell but the seller may relist it soon and it may or may not sell. Asking prices do not always mean the seller knows the true value of an item. This doll is being listed by a new seller and they may just "feel" their doll is worth this much money.
  • In actuality, your doll may be worth more than this seller's asking price. These dolls seem to be popular and also are selling faster than most of this brand doll.
  • The designer, Dianna Effner, is a popular designer and has had her name on a lot of more expensive dolls. This always helps up the value of a doll.
  • Here are some First Emily dolls that have sold in the last several months on eBay.
  • You can see that prices range from $50 to over $100 so you would have to decide what you would consider the value of your doll.

  • If you are wanting to sell your doll then I would suggest you list it at $135 and lower the price if it does not sell.
  • If you are new to eBay then you should consider looking at a lot of doll listings and especially shipping charges before attempting to list your doll.
  • You may have good luck posting your doll on your local Craigslist as dolls sell well here and there is no shipping cost involved. Just be sure to meet anyone in a public place as safety is a prime concern.

She is worth probaby about 200.00. That is if you have all the paperwork. It also has to be in perfect condition, usually with box. You really have to find a collector that would want them. They are not worth much to the average person. But there are collectors out there that want them, you just need to find them. My grandmother collected and saved them. Even took her broken ones to the "doll" hospital. I have had her old dolls and priced them, they are hard to find buyers. There are auctions, if you can find them then that is the best place to sell them. But the Ashton Drakes I have not seen go for more than that.

I just wanted to also say that is not what they will go for, but to someone who wants it you could get that much for it. Most people will sell them on ebay etc. and only get 40-80.00. The price really is just up to the person who really wants it.

Like said your best bet would be to find a collector of the dolls. Also a person who is qualified to appraise it to give you a true value, if that is what you want. I just wanted to clarify my answer. Hope that was helpful.
