I have a set of the Encyclopedia Britannica 1823-1824, with supplements. I would like to know what the collection could be worth. It was printed in Edinburgh and was purchased more than 70 years ago by my parents. Unfortunately, it has seen a lot of basement conditions. Some covers are damaged but most are in acceptable condition. All contents are undamaged, but "yellowed" from time.

Hello Andre, please be more specific by looking inside your books to determine which Edition you have and if they are truly originals. I suspect if your dates are correct a 6th or 7th Edition. If so please contact me for more detailed information. mrmima at yahoo.de

This is likely a 6th edition. If complete and in excellent condition it could be worth several thousand dollars but the condition is critical to value. Please email me if you have further questions or are interested in selling. Pictures are very helpful. merritthorn AT comcast.net
