What Breed Is My Dog?

A dog with large ears in a living room.Winnie is seven months old and full of energy. She gets so excited and does the zoomies. Her tail is straight, not curly. I was told that she was a Pit Bull, but I don't believe she is a pure bred. Maybe a Pit Bull mix and Basenji or a terrier?

She looks like a mix of many breeds. Have a DNA test done to see the full bloodline.

Your dog has characteristics of quite a few various breeds but I do see a lot of Basinji in your pup:

This may also help you w/ finding the breed of your dog:

You would need to have a DNA test to determine exactly what breed your dog actually is though.

Winnie looks more Basenji than Pitt bull, only a DNA could tell you for sure. To see what this mix really looks like , here is a link - www.bing.com/.../search?q=pictures+of+a+pitt+bull....

I think I can see Winnie there!

Her face is too sweet to have Pit Bull as the dominant breed.
I believe she could be pit bull and basenji mix.

Only a DNA test can tell you for sure. DNA test kits are available online, pet stores or your vet. Price usually starts about $65 and goes up from there. These tests tell you a lot about your dog besides breed such as health concerns and proper diet for long life.

You can also ask your vet as they can see her in person and know her weight and size so they can provide a better 'guess'.
Please be sure she has all of her shots/vaccinations so she can stay healthy and continue doing her 'zoomies'.

Your dog doesn't have pitbull characteristics. I think she may be a Basenji terrier mix but it's difficult to tell what type of terrier. Perhaps you could get your vet to weigh in with their opinion or have a DNA test done. Your dog is absolutely gorgeous. She has a sweet and very attentive face.

I certainly see the Basenji. For the rest I am just not sure. Very cute!
