We bought our dog from a homeowner via Craigslist. The puppies looked like a mix - some took after the mom who was a German Shepherd/Lab cross, and we were told the dad was a yellow Lab, but we've had people tell us Eli looks like a Pit Bull. We will keep him no matter what, but we should probably find out!
he third photo has him laying beside our 4 year old Retriever/Setter mix. Eli's body is long and his legs are long as well. He has a slim appearance. We used to have a yellow Lab and his back/hindquarters definitely resemble what we see when Eli lays down. So, not sure! The ears look Pit, but could they be a combo of floppy Lab ears with high pointed Shepherd ears? Sometimes they do point up. He's super food focused also and has been easy to train (smart).
