What Kind of Snake Is This?

blotchy snake under a bushI live in Minnesota. I have 0% knowledge of identifying a snake. My questions for tonight are, what kind of snake is this and should I worry about it? I've lived in the area for at least 10 years. I never encountered anything that slithers in my area but worms.

I took the dogs out for a stroll at night with my 7 year old nephew. I guess you can say my dog got too close to the bush and it came at my Aussie. He jumped and pulled away from there as my Rat Terrier comes running to defend the Aussie growling and barking at the snake. (It was very dark.) My initial thought was, oh he must have hurted himself with a branch or a thorn, since my neighbor loves to garden a lot. When I turned my cellphone light on, this was what I got. I didn't hear a rattle so I know it's not a rattle snake of some kind. I got a lot of python feed backs from friends and family, but I was doing a little bit of research, and got hognose snake. It has spots like a burmese and a hognose. I'm just not sure if it's someone's pet or it naturally belongs here in the wild. What do you think?

It does sort of look like a rattler, but if it doesn't rattle, it probably isn't one. Also, this photo is not the best, but you can consult this website for more IDing information: www.whatsnakeisthat.com/.../minnesota.html
