You probably have a sensor malfunction. You will have to get someone to service this machine. I dont think many people do this anymore.

it sounds like the key is stuck. YOu could look on youtube at a tutorial for fixing it

or else you may have to find a repairperson, since typewriters are coming back, it should be easier to do than a while back
