Can I use the Ion hair dye from the tubes after opening it?
As long as you didn't mix the dye with the developer, it's good for a year. If you did mix it with the developer, it's only good for a couple of hours.

One you mix the haircolor and developer together it must be used that session or thrown out.
I only dye my roots to cover up my gray with black dye. I had a bunch left over and put it in the refrigerator. Is it still safe to use on my roots? It's been stored for about a month.
If you havent mixed with the developer it is safe to use. You dont have to make up the whole batch. The ratio of dye to developer is 1:1. I only mix what I need for each dye job.
