Ice Water Chocolate Cake
- 3 cups soft butter or margarine
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
- 1 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 cups ice water
Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Blend in cooled chocolate. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternately with ice water. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees F) about 30-35 minutes.
