Oatmeal Rolls

I love these rolls. Soft with a sweet taste!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup quick oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 cups flour
  • butter
  • brown sugar
  • cinnamon

Directions:

Pour boiling water over oatmeal, margarine, brown sugar, and salt. Cool; add yeast and egg. Mix in flour and knead. Dough with be sticky. Place in greased bowl. Let rise until double in bulk. Roll out, and spread with butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up, and cut into slices. Place in greased baking pans. Let rise until double. Bake at 375 degrees F for 20-25 minutes.

Prep Time: 30 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20-25 Minutes

These rolls sound really good. I will be trying this recipe soon, and I think your easy beef stew recipe would be even better with these rolls. Thank you for posting them (and all your other recipes too)
