Steaks Creole


  • 4 pork steaks
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 6 large celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasonings
  • 2 cups tomato juice

For Rice:

  • 2 1/4 cups Minute Rice
  • 1 3/4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup tomato juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Ad

  • 1 Tbsp. butter


For the steaks: Brown pork steaks in skillet sprayed with cooking spray. Place chops in a shallow baking pan. Cover with onions, green pepper and celery. Pour on the tomato juice. Cover and bake in 350 degree F oven for 1 hour or until steaks are tender. Serve with rice.

For rice: Bring water, tomato juice, salt and butter to a boil. Add Minute Rice and Italian seasonings. Cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork. Serve with steaks.
