Salmon Pie

Not only is this recipe economical, but it's good! This recipe makes 2 pies, which can be frozen for later use. We love this recipe because of the use of the carrots.

Ingredients:

  • 1 nine inch pie crust
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 can salmon (13 1/4 oz.), drained and flaked
  • 4 oz. shredded cheese
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 small finely grated carrot
  • 1 small finely grated onion
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions:

Mix all and bake at 375 degrees F for 45-55 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving. Makes 2 pies.

Servings: 2 pies
Time:30 Minutes Preparation Time
55 Minutes Cooking Time

Are the quantities for one pie or two pies? Would you bake before freezing? Is this a one crust pie; an open pie with no top crust? Please expand on the directions for this. I would love to try it. Thanks

Would you bake the second pie before freezing?

If it makes 2 pies, wouldn't you need 2 pie crusts?
