Stale Bread For French Toast

I cut stale bread up into chunks and put it in the freezer. When the ziploc bag is full, I make a batch of oven french toast!

I also keep stale bread, including the ends, in the freezer. I dry it out in a low temp oven, then grind it in the food processor for better than store bought bread crumbs. It can be ground up fresh, then frozen, to have fresh breadcrumbs always on hand to stuff any vegetable you want. And if the children want to go to the park, there is always bread on hand for the ducks! Loretta

I make bread pudding with stale bread. Condensed milk, raisins, cinnamon vanilla and bake it.
