Armpits Never Free of Odor After Showering?

My underarms always smell a little bit bad after showering, no matter what I've used. I've used so many different showering gels, cloths, and sponges. None work. The smell isn't terrible, but it's never fully clean. I'm also on quite a tight budget. :/ Please help.

Armpit odor is caused by bacteria. Shower body wash, gels etc. may not work for everyone. Try this on a weekend. After your shower apply antibacteria ointment on your pits. May take two treatments. The Walmart house brand is good. The odor will vanish.

I had the same problem so solved the problem. I exfoliated underarms with a paste made of baking soda and cornmeal, no more odor. We have dead skin under armpits. It works, try it

I found out from the People's Pharmacy website that baby diaper cream works best. I have been using it about twice a week after my shower instead of ANY deodorant for about six months and it really works.

I use Boudreaux's Butt Paste brand that has a slight balsam smell, but you can shop around.

U can use hand sanitizer, vinegar, baking powder. I think hand sanitizer works best. Good luck.

Another cause might be internal. When some people sweat, they smell like corn chips (your laughter here). Some like copper. Balancing your mineral intake might do more good than external cover-ups. Here is a good link. For others I put in 'copper smelling sweat' and got lots.

Apply Milk of Magnesia as a deodorant. It is also a good idea to take Zinc tablets for mineral dificiency.

After reading many post and trying everything, I finally found the solution that works for me... Im 43 yr old female and have had bad armpit odor since I was 17... I use lemon juice (from dollar tree) and apply it to a cotton ball, I wipe my armpit, not just the middle but the sides too... Im like a normal person now, even when sweating a lot, I can barley smell anything...

I wish, I would have know about this many years ago... I even went one day without using the lemon juice and I was still not bad.. I still use deodorant, but just the regular kind now... Even the cheap kind... I hope this helps anyone out there.. Its really cheap, it wont hurt to give it a try... btw it burns at first but eventually goes away...

I've had the same problem since I was a teenager. I would take a shower with antibacterial dial soap, apply deodorant and within minutes smell like I had a skunk tucked in my armpits. I tried EVERY deodorant that can be purchased at Walmart including men's deodorant to no avail. NONE of them worked long term and they all had the same effect. They would work for 2 or 3 days and I would go right back to having that skunk smell which is extremely embarrassing. I even went to a dermatologist who prescribed something to keep me dry but of course that didn't solve the smelly problem. I then googled how to stop smelly armpit odor and decided to give ALL remedies (lemon juice, hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, vinegar, sanitizer, hibiscus) to no avail.

I then googled how to make your own deodorant and for the last 3 years, I am happy to say that my mixture of baby powder, baking soda and sweet almond essential oil has worked!! I also use certain dri at bedtime once a week to keep me dry and the mixture as my daily deodorant. I am a 38 year old woman and it took me over 20 years to find something that actually worked for me!! Hope this helps anyone who has been unsuccessful at being skunk free like me!!
