looking for a 5 bean casserole recipe my mother used to make for us as kids. i can only remember some of the ingredients... green beans, lima beans, wax beans....can't remember the other 2 beans and it had vienna sausages in it as well as some horse radish.
if any can help me i sure would appreciate it

This was a favorite of my dad.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef, browned
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, fried and broken into pieces
  • 1 can Lima beans, drained
  • Ad

  • 1 can butter beans, drained
  • 1 can pork and beans, undrained
  • 1 can kidney beans, undrained
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple

Sauce:

  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 4 Tbsp. molasses
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped

Directions:

Combine casserole ingredients in casserole and mix well. Combine sauce ingredients and pour over bean mixture. Mix and bake at 350 F for 30-40 minutes.

Servings: 12-15
Prep Time: 15-20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 30-40 Minutes

Brown ground turkey with bacon & onion; combine with rest of ingredients in a large casserole dish. Bake at 350F for 1 hour.
