Lima Bean Casserole Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. dry lima beans
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. dark syrup
  • butter, melted
  • 1/2 pint sour cream

Directions

Soak beans overnight in water to cover in large saucepan. Drain beans and add fresh water to cover. Cook until water is absorbed.

Combine beans with next 4 ingredients and 1/2 cup butter in casserole, mixing well. Stir in sour cream. Drizzle 1/3 cup butter over casserole. Bake at 300 degrees F for 2 hours, stirring every half hour.

Melt butter, add curry powder and Rice Chex. Stir over low heat for 5 minutes. Cook frozen vegetables according to package directions and drain.

Add the soups to the lima beans; add 1 1/2 cup Rice Chex, then add broccoli.
