Cleaning Gas Stove Burners?

You just pick them up. They aren't attached so much as just sitting there to keep the pots and pans from sitting directly on the part that the flames come out of.

Mine are not removable. They are one piece back to the gas input line. So how do you clean them when they attached - can't put them in ziplock bags or diswasher, etc.
