Cream colored curtains would look elegant, and an Oriental or other type of multicolored rug with cream, sage green and a few other colors would complement the room.
Plum, light taupe, eggplant, creme, seem to go well with your color scheme. Curtains in any 2 colors may look better than just one color.
An area rug with several of these colors would add some warmth and freshness to your room.
i think an off white or creamy color would look very nice and calming....
