I am starting to crochet hats, scarves, and blankets for our disabled and homeless vets. I am disabled myself and on a fixed income. I am having trouble getting started because I can't find any one to donate any yarn. How can I get the word out better?

Advertize your charity plan by placing placards or notes with your local religious centers, various non-profit offices, senior centers, city offices, stores (if they allow), local social clubs such as volunteer associations-men's and women's, etc. Once you get the word out, the yarn will come.
