I recently found out I have a half brother. He is either called David or Ronald Wood. My father was called Ronald Wood he had pubs in Ashton under Lyne. He was born between 1951 -1954; is this enough info to find him? Apparently his mum posted an ad a good 10 years ago in Manchester Evening News to try to find my dad. I saw the ad, but my mum said it would be old customers from the pub. Anyone help me plz? x

Facebook is a good place to start. If your Mom has any photos of your dad this one can help a lot. You might also want to try heritage search to see if you can dig up some background about your family and find out a bit more information to help you in your search.
Ancestry.com has a free trial. You can also try Facebook.
Facebook,twitter,instagram,CraigsList- are a good free source that a lot of people follow and word of your search can get out!
I would suggest contacting the newspaper.They may have the ad in their archives.Good luck!
