Identifying Porcelain Dolls?

Identifying Porcelain DollsI would like to know more information about my porcelain dolls that were passed down to me from a family member. I would like to know the location, name and year of my dolls please and what they are worth today? I also have a few dolls with no numbers anywhere. The numbers on the back of necks are:

I can not identify them with the information given, and they look antique and expensive. Take them to an antique doll dealer for his or her opinion.

Thanks for sharing them! They are lovely.

Typically dolls with numbers like you describe are "newer" dolls...from the 1970s on. True antique dolls often had no markings at all, or if they did it was a few letters or odd symbols.

Also, old dolls would have handmade clothing, leather shoes and old fashioned style underpinnings. These dolls have very modern looking clothing, also it is way to clean to be old, the seams are too straight, and the embellishments to fancy. Old dolls were often very simple...some just coming in a nightshirt or a very simple dress.

The one that may have some age is the one with the long hair and pink dress. She may be from the 1950s. Sadly she looks well loved, which will lower her value on the market if she is a 50s dolly.

Unfortunately the numbers are not enough for me to do my research. I usually need more information--height, history, how the clothing is stitched, if the hair is real or synthetic, and such.

There is a nice site on Facebook that can probably do the research faster than I can. You can ask to join and they may be able to identify them quickly as each person there has their specialty:

They WILL NOT help you value them though. If you learn who they are, I can help you value them.

Post back what you learn! Thanks for sharing them.

I think your best bet to do is do a search on "Google" put all the information you have on the dolls and see if any thing comes up with your description.
Also go on "eBay" and do a search, eBay is the worlds largest site that sells dolls , you might find some information on your dolls with price that is being asked for .
