Both dolls are mass-produced and worth $25 at most. There are 5000 dolls in each lot.

Both dolls have sold within the last year on eBay for $5 or under.

So sad. These were so expensive when new.

Does it change the value of the one I have since it is the first made of that particular doll*?

Unique is the brand name or at least how they are found when you sell them online. You usually have to search the phrase "By Unique" to find them...if the seller knows what he/she is doing. This way the buyer can look for the brand they want vs. trying to search through dolls that listers are calling "unique" like the adjective vs. the brand...does that make sense?

In dolls (I would say 98% of the time as there may be a brand that this is different), but it typically makes no matter if you have doll 1 or doll 5000 of the series, they all sell for the same amount.

Dolls are just a tough market right now. I have told some friends that MAY increase in value in the future.

Yes, I know it did not happen the first time around (people bought in the 80s and now they can't make a profit), but in the next round of waiting, many of the dolls today are getting dumped and there could be people who in another 10-15 years will feel sad they got rid of their favorite decorator doll and want her back. That is when they may increase in value.
