Identifying Thriftstore Figurines?

Identifying Thriftstore Figurines - monk and nun figurinesI keep getting conflicting info on these items, Holt Howard or Tilso? I found them in a thrift store and am very curious to see where they came from. Thanks for any help.

Good question!

... I have seen these listed as flat headed Lipper and Mann nun and monk
...Big headed monk and nun, no brand on Worthpoint..no brand just Japan
...Also on Worthpoint they called her a Holt piece
... Another site called them big eye nun and friar, Japan
...The eyes look like Tilso's, but none is calling these pieces by that brand that I could find

Check Facebook groups and see if there are fan groups for Lipper or Holt or a Japanese figurines. I have a feeling most sellers have no clue and see something similar and call that.
