It will be hard for most of us without an identifying mark. You could upload the photo to replacements.com and they could probably identify it and tell you what they would pay for it.

Awesome I will try! Thank you! :)
There are no identifying marks on any of the 10 glasses so I was hoping the style is what would identify them.

To get you started, two of the biggest German stemware makers were Lausitzer and Roemer.

Maybe that can help you get started if Replacements.com can't help you.

Post back what you learn.

I received a reply from Replacements LTD ....they call this pattern UNK182....The reason is because they don't know who the maker is either..LOL...UNK = unknown. What is funny....is my mom told me they are from Germany and Replacements has them listed as being made in West Germany.

So at least I know that much is correct. There are other sizes to this collection...wine,ice tea, cordial..ect. I have the water glasses. I will keep searching!

Thanks for posting back!

That is interesting! I wonder if there is a German version of replacements.com that could give you an exact name.

I wonder if this site can be of any assistance?

Are you looking to add to the pieces or sell them?

Either way, I have had successful dealings with Replacements.com, of course my dealings were before the USPS changed up their rates. Now you have to be sure that you know the full amount and that the shipping costs aren't more than the value of the items.

I saw your post about the possible German stemware. I also have a huge set given to me my my in-laws who are German descent. There are about 4 sizes /shapes. Mine dont have the design in the top above the stem but from the stem down and the shape of the stemware I think its an exact match. They are made out of very thin glass and have a nice sound. I was wondering what to do with them. They have been mostly in boxes for about 15 years. They take up a lot of cabinet room. Im sure Im imagining things but amidst the tiny scratches on the bottom I think I might see a 1 marked. I was wondering value of a 40 piece set. Approx. and I cant figure out how to post a photo here
