Identifying a Porcelain Doll?

Identifying a Porcelain Doll - doll with long blond hair sitting on a pink chairI have been given a doll by my mother who has unfortunately passed away. Because of this I have no information on said doll. The doll came with a pink chair that has a music box on the bottom, however I don't believe the chair and the doll originally came together. The doll has a porcelain head, arms, and lower legs. The body seems to be made of a stiff cloth material.

All of the clothes are completely removable and separable from each other. I have so far been unable to find a mark on the doll, but I have found a tag on the doll's dress, the tag states RN # 64078, OH # 12217, PA # 2087. However I have been unsuccessful in trying to follow these numbers.
The tag also states:
Shell: 35% cotton, 65% polyester
Stuffing: 100% cotton
Made in China
For decorative purposes only, this is not a toy.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

She is a pretty doll but without any marks, symbols or even numbers it would be very difficult to identify her. Companies have been mass producing dolls (and similar dolls) for many years and unless someone just happens to recognize your doll we may not be able to help you.

  • You may be able to search eBay or Etsy for your doll but even with measurements and other characteristics you would probably have to sort through several hundred dolls.
  • Maybe someone else will be able to give you better ideas on finding your doll so be sure to read all answers.
  • There is a posting site that can sometimes give information on dolls that have no marks so here is the link if you want to check it out.

I know you will treasure your doll because it was from your mother but I hope you can also find out a little more information.

This is probably a mass-produced doll. Valuable dolls have identifiable marks.
