Identifying a Porcelain Doll?

Identifying a Porcelain Doll - doll dressed in period attire of green and tanMy grandmother gave me this doll before she passed away a few years ago. I am curious about who she is and if she has any value. Not that I'd ever part with her.

She is quite lovely! Does she have any markings? Check the back of her neck, under her hair, her back, her butt, and her feet. Without markings it is almost impossible to give you any info or history.

There are lots of ways to find out if there are not markings, but they are very time consuming. That is why I suggest checking for markings first. Let me know what you find!

You need to know who manufactured it. Undress the doll and look for markings. If there are none, it is probably worth little.

She is lovely.
There are so many similar dolls that locating one without a name, symbol, or markings would be almost impossible.

You may want to try asking your question on a doll forum site as many of these people are doll collectors and might recognize your doll.

Look for any markings on the doll, then do a search on Google. Also go on eBay, it is the largest seller of dolls in the world, see if there are any dolls similar to yours for sale on the site. Also check on Craigslist.

so your grandmother gave her to you but do you have any idea how old is it? When did she give it to you? If it dates much after the 80's, and she has no brand/marking it will be impossible to identify because that's when thewse things started being mass produced en masse.

If it's older than the 70's (60s I'd say) you can visit dollreference.com for more data
