You will have better luck if you can find markings on the doll. Undress it and look on the back of the neck, back, chest and bottoms of feet.

She is interesting and has a French vibe to her. This article is helpful to figure out who you have:

www.invaluable.com/.../

Is she bisque? She looks more bisque than china, but it is also a touch thing vs. a visual.

Did you find any marks?

How tall is she?

Do the clothes look hand stitched?

Maybe with a little more info I can help you value her. She is quite lovely and unique. She does not look like a run of the mill doll. Or if she is, she is a higher quality version.

Let me know the additional details and I will see what I can learn. Meanwhile, I will keep digging through all my sources. I am just getting into French doll history now! Had a lesson in German dolls a few months ago and she does not look German!

Thanks for sharing! Hope I can help!

Im not sure about bisque or china but she has more of a matte finish. No markings and she is probably 20" tall. Shes not hand stitched but my mom thinks the lace on her dress is very old. Also that there were sewing machines waay back. Her feet are material and if you want more pics i can take them! Thank you for the help!

I am just fascinated by this doll. I can't find anything close in my favorite sources. I have never actually worked with this site, but they have lovely dolls, so maybe they can offer you some insights.

A neat doll..
Is her body also cloth? Maybe just the head is bisque/porcelain/china?

These can be special dolls but it usually takes a real doll collector to recognize this type of doll.

If you want to know more about her you can post your question on this doll forum and probably receive all of the information you are wanting.

www.tapatalk.com/.../

all instructions are listed on the site and It is very easy to use; just post several good pictures and enter a good description and I feel sure someone will help in a short time.

Be sure to tell about her body as well and does her hat come off? If so, take pictures of her with and without the hat.
