Identifying a Porcelain Doll?

Identifying a Porcelain Doll - doll wearing a period long white dress and a straw hatI bought this doll for my friend off of eBay and it doesn't have a mark on it that lets us know what make it is or what year it was made. Does anyone have any idea on the make or year?

It is going to be difficult to assess value or identify the doll without the marks. Undress the doll and look all over for marks. If there are none, it is worth very little.

She is lovely and has a primitive feel to her as her hands and feet do not have a lot of detail.

Did your friend ask the eBay seller for details? I would hope the seller would know some of the history, although it could be they are a dealer just dumping estates.

How tall is she? She looks quite petite. Things don't quite add up for her for me as the hat seems newer, the hands and feet older, and the dress much too clean to be old.

I just discovered this site recently and haven't tried them out yet, but maybe the can give you some insights:

I have never actually worked with this site, but they have lovely dolls, so maybe they can offer you some insights.

Please post back what you learn! She is pretty and is a puzzle!

I do not recognize her but she has feet and hands similar to the miniature Mime dolls.

You can ask your question on a doll forum site and they may be able to help you. I agree that she may have been given a new dress by the former owner.

This site is easy to use but you will need to give measurements and several pictures.
