Identifying a Porcelain Doll?

Identifying a Porcelain Doll - baby dollI bought this doll at a flea market. It was under a bunch of things and I felt so sad for it. I have been calling it a she, as the red lips throw me off. But now I think it may be a boy baby. It is porcelain on chest, head, midway down arms to hands, and the same for the legs/feet. It had a really old dress on, almost looks hand sewn, but it is ripped at the back where the neck collar would go and seemed a bit too big for it. Please help me as I have grown attached to it, but am wondering it is truly old?

It definitely looks old. I would take it to a doll dealer for his or her opinion.

Sweet little doll! How tall is he/she?

The outfit looks older, but the doll, I am not sure. What is she stuffed with? She may be a newer (like 1960s) that was made to look old.

What is making me think that is the eye lash pattern....painted lashes are usually full lashes...not the three. Also if it was very old, it would look older since dolls of the day (OLD) were played with and were well loved (show their age).

The lips are much too red.

With a little more info, I may be able to help you figure out who you have an his/her value! She is sweet!! I would have given her a good home also!
