Everyone thinks my Chihuahua is a Jack Russell how can I tell? The first photo was taken at 10 weeks. He is now 16 weeks and a little over 5 lbs.

There is no eye patch pigmentation that you would see on a Jack Russell. I think the dog is purebred Chihuahua.
Thank you for responding. I believe you are right. It's just when I tell people he is a Chiuawa they say he must be part Jack Russell..so I started to think he was..I would love him either way.
I think your dog has the characteristics of a Chihuahua. My guess is people think he is a Jack Russell because his marking/color pattern looks like that of a Jack Russell. The shape of your dog's head isn't consistent with the shape of a Jack Russell's head.
What a sweet baby!!! OMG!! I want to hug him!! That little tail is too cute!
I see mostly Chihuahua in him. Even the tail is curved they way most Chi's are.
His coloring is gorgeous!! I guess that is why people think he is Jack Russell. They often have those white face stripes, but his lines don't have the JR lines.
See what you vet thinks!! The vet can check him out based on breed standards, but from my view, you have a sweet Chi baby!!
