I think he is a pitbull.
He appears to be a Pit Bull and a very handsome little fellow.

I would think he is primarily an American Staffordshire Terrier.
There could be a little lab in his linage. It will be easier to tells when he gets a little bigger.
Maybe your vet can weigh in by checking out his teeth, jaws, and bone structure!

I was thinking more of American Pitbull
I always got chided by a friend who was all AKC and she always said that there is no breed called American Pitt Bull, just the American Staffordshire Terriers. This was about 10 years ago.
So I always was taught to refer to these pupsters as American Staffordshire Terriers.
I just did some reading and I guess some show groups do recognize a breed called American Pitt Bulls (last I heard AKC still does not) so I guess it depends on who you talk to.
From my recent reading, they are both very similar in looks and coloring, and if I understand it correctly, the American Pitt Bulls are a little taller and have broader chests.
Since the phrase "pitt bull" has had bad press, I know a lot of show dog owners prefer to go with the AKC rules and focus on the slightly smaller and less muscular subset--the American Staffordshire Terriers.
Both are descendants of the English Staffordshire Terrier.
So I guess when your dog gets a little bigger, you can compare the structures of each to see what way the breeding goes!

Yeah AKC doesnt recognize them as a true breed
certainly looks like a pit bull puppy to me.
