What Breed Is My Dog?

What Breed Is My Dog? - smaller tan dogWe were told my dog is a Lab mix, with the possibility of Husky and Australian Shepherd. My husband and I are about to move to an apartment complex and we don't want to be blindsided by accusations! We rescued him! He is 1.5 years old and 28 lbs.

He is adorable! I see a very mixed breed!

I am assuming you are worried people will think he is a Staffordshire Terrier mix. Perhaps your vet can weigh in and sign off on the mix he/she sees by looking at the pup's teeth, jaw, hips etc!

To me he has a little French bulldog, maybe some corgi, lab, and Aussie. Heinz 57 mix of adorable!

Post back what you learn! Prayers and blessings to all!!!

We were told his dad was a pure bred chocolate lab & mom was a Australian shep/ husky mixed with a bunch of things lol! Our vet labeled him as a retriever mix & he is very well tempered!

He looks like he has some pitbull in him. Have a dna test done before you move into the apartment.

The vet said he is for sure a mix, but labeled him as a retriever mix! His dad was a pure bred lab & mom was a mutt. Her main breeds were Australian Shepherd & husky as far as they knew!

We dont have time to do a DNA test and we were told they can be pretty inaccurate for mutts!

We dont have time for a DNA test, but we were told they arent that accurate for mutts anyways! His dad was a purebred chocolate lab and mom was a mutt (her main breeds were Australian Shepherd and husky) but she was really a mix!

You are right the dog is really a mix and I don't see much chocolate lab at all in him. I do believe he got more of his mom in him than his dad. He is cute and without knowing more about the dog it is hard to say all the breeds inside this dog.

I would call him a Heinz 57 mix and I really don't think you'll have much of a problem with the dog when you move. He is too cute for people to be worried or scared about him.

I agree with the others who think your adorable dog is a mix of several breeds. He doesn't look like a pit. If his temperament is good, you probably won't have people questioning his bloodline.

Be sure you know the weight restrictions before you sign a lease. Some places have as little as a 25 pound weight limitation on dogs.

I dont see any pit bull in your dog. He is such a mix that I cant imagine you will have any objections from anyone. Very cute dog.
