Light Circuit Not Working?

My son turned on the light in the living room and heard a pop, then none of the lights worked. Everything else works such as the plug ins, furnace, stove, etc. I checked the breaker and could not get it reset so I changed it and still no lights.

Time to call an electrician. If you know enough to be able to change a breaker on your own, and you can't figure this out, time to call in a professional. You have some sort of a short somewhere. Get some trained help.
