Riding Mower Won't Start?

I have a 22hp twin ohv Intek Briggs and Stratton motor on a riding lawn tractor. When I try to start the motor it will pop from the air intake and not fire. What might be the problem?

The safety switch under the seat may have malfunctioned.

Have you checked for nests in the undercarriage? Mice tests and wasp nests can wreck havoc with mowers.

This could be several issues. You could have an issue with the safety switch on engaging correctly. There also could be old gas in the tank which has clogged the carburetor or you have an issue with the spark plugs.
