Years ago, I believe it was the early 70's, I found a recipe for Sauerbraten in a Ladies Circle magazine. I think it was the best one I ever tried, but during a move I lost a lot of my recipes. If any of you have it I would greatly appreciate it.

Are you sure it wasn't in Family Circle in 1978?

No, I know it was Ladies Circle. The one I'm looking for did not use ginger snaps. But yours sounds good I think I will try it out. Thanks anyway!

Does anyone have a recipe for traditional German sauerbraten? I am hoping for one that you have personally tried and would recommend to others. Thank you.
