This is delicious, easy to prepare, inexpensive, and great if you have guests that will be traveling from out of town and you're not sure when they will arrive.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. round steak (cut into 4 portions)
  • 1/4 cup flour (for dredging meat)
  • 1 large can mushroom soup
  • 1 large can mushrooms
  • Ad

  • dash of pepper and salt
  • pre-cooked rice or mashed potatoes

Directions:

Salt and pepper steak lightly, then dredge in flour and brown on both sides in a very small amount of fat. Blot pan of any remaining grease.

Open mushrooms and pour into pan, as well as juice, then add mushroom soup. Simmer on very low heat, stirring occasionally, for 2-4 hours.

Serve with cooked rice or mashed potatoes.

Cooking Time: 2-4 Hours

My daughter's favorite dish, hands down! Easy, fast, and fills you up.

Ingredients:

  • 4 to 6 hamburger steaks/thick patties*
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 can diced stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • prepared noodles or rice

*Make them yourself or buy them already made. Cube steaks are not recommended.

Directions:

Brown the onions and hamburger steaks together in large skillet until steaks are almost done. Drain fat, if needed.

Mix together tomatoes and soup, and pour over steaks in skillet. Be sure to get the mixture all around the steaks, even underneath.

Cover skillet tightly and simmer the steaks for at least 20 minutes. Add liquid if needed, but if skillet has a tight-fitting lid this won't be necessary.

Serve over prepared rice or noodles.

Servings: 4-6 (depending on how many patties you used)
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 30 Minutes

Quick, easy and delicious

Ingredients:

Directions:

Pour soups and gravy into crock pot. Cut steak into individual servings. Lay steak on soups in the crock pot and sprinkle with Morton's Nature's Seasons. Push steak into the soups.

Cover pot. Turn on low. Cooks all day while you are away. When return home, make mashed potatoes, vegetable and serve. This makes my daughter's favorite gravy. I have to freeze the remaining gravy in individual dishes so she can have it on her mashed potatoes in between preparing the steak.

Time:10 Minutes Preparation Time
8-10 Hours Cooking Time

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. of round steak
  • 3 carrots
  • 3 potatoes
  • 3 medium onions
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • Ad

  • 4 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme

Directions

Place pieces of round steak in greased baking dish or pot roast pan. Cut up veggies and place in pan. Mix up and pour remaining ingredients on top. Bake at 350 degrees F for 2 hours until meat is tender. Check after 1 hour to make sure there is enough liquid. Add a little water if needed.

This makes a great, one-dish meal!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs. round steak (cut in strips)
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 onion, cut up
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1-2 green peppers, sliced
Ad

Directions:

  1. Put steak, flour, salt, and pepper in crock pot.
  2. Stir well to coat.
  3. Add remaining ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on high for one hour, then turn to low for 8 hours or high for 5 hours.
  5. Great served with rice or noodles.

Servings: 6
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: low 8 hours or high 6 Hours
