Recipe using spinach, barriers and ice cream.

A great and tasty way to get your raw vegetables in is to make a green smoothie.
Many recipes exist off the internet for this, but this is a pretty nice one I rely on a lot.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Yield: 4 cups
Note: you can vary ingredients based on how much sweetness or thickness you want. IE you want it sweeter you can add another apple or add some pineapple/other very sweet fruit or simply add maple syrup/honey. To make it more liquid simply add more water. How much recipe makes depends on how much water is added.

I've heard that you should try a spinach smoothie and I wanted to know if it would be good. So basically my question is, is a spinach smoothie nice?
Spinach smoothies are delicious, you don't even notice the spinach flavor. I like to pair it with blueberries because then it doesn't look green. My kids love them too and have moved on to try kale as well.
Here is a recipe on ThriftyFun but I would replace the ice cream with some plain yogurt and use a fruit juice (apple) in place of the milk. Yum, I may have to get some frozen berries at the store and make this for my boys tomorrow morning.
I blend a simple smoothie using a handful of fresh spinach, a whole banana, some milk, water, and honey and I can't taste the spinach at all! It's very good but you can always experiment with your favorite fruit to create a delicious smoothie.
