I have a Sunbeam bread machine, model 5891 that as soon as you plug it in it starts running. I have tried to reset it by holding in on the power button, but it won't stop unless I unplug it.

it sounds like the control panel buttons are jammed or locked in place and there is a short in the panel that operates the machine. If it continue like this you can try to take this apart and clean the contacts other than this you may need to replace a few of the electronic parts on the machine.
I have taken it apart and unhooked the control panel and its still running
It seems your start lever is on ,or stuck in the on position. Check lever ,make sure there is no build up or debris around switch.
