Value of Vintage Cabinet Radio and Console Stereo

The radio and record player have been in my family for years. Any idea how much they are worth?

Your best bet is to look on eBay often for the next several weeks. You will see what the selling price is. The asking price is not always the same.

This is way cool! I need to do some more research to figure a value. Do you know if it originally was in a restaurant or bar? It looks much more industrial than home use. Are he top and the grates metal? Does it have a model number? Does it all work?

It has a neat deco look to it! I will keep researching. Thanks for sharing!

Your RCA Victor radio console is probably from the 1930-40's and may be a tube radio.

  • These consoles are a little rare and usually will sell for $150-$400 according to if they are working as well as the overall condition. The area you live in will also play a big factor as most people will not be willing to pay upwards of $150 to ship one.
  • Check out eBay sold listings to get an idea of how similar consoles are selling. You will notice that almost all sellers will have pick up only on their listings.

  • here is a similar one that is up for sale - you can place a watch on it to see if it sells.

  • These are only similar models but you will most likely never find an exact same model so you will have to set your own value by reviewing as many similar models as you can find.
  • Don't forget to consider the condition and location of any sold models and compare it to yours.
  • There are a lot of images on Google so you might want to check those out also.

  • Here is a vintage radio forum that you can check out and also submit questions and pictures as these are true collectors and may be able to help you.

  • Here is a site that has a lot of pictures and excellent information but you may have to find your model number to find your console.

  • I would suggest you clean it up; check out the working condition (clear or static?), tubes?, and if you want to list it for sale consider placing it on your local Craigslist or USA4Sale as these are good sites and you can set your price and lower it if no one pays any interest. Just be sure to have good pictures (check how the listings are done) and an honest appraisal of condition is very important.
