Value of a Goldenvale Porcelain Doll I have a Goldenvale doll. Her name is Maurice. She has an umbrella stand that open up her dress. How can I find any information on her and how much is she worth?

Goldenvale dolls are mass-produced and lose value. If it is a large doll you could get $35 or so. A smaller doll is $25 or less.

Sadly, most of the Goldenvale dolls, while lovely, did not hold their financial value in today's market. Now that said, the red haired dolls sometimes sell if you put that in the ad.

At the moment, the umbrella Goldenvales are all sitting on eBay unsold--including someone selling a lot of 3 for 49.99.

The big dolls are very challenging to sell online because shipping them is a huge hassle--you have to find a big enough box, pack it very carefully so it does not arrive in a million pieces, and then get it to the PO. The costs to ship it across the country add so much to the doll's cost that most buyers just pass and try to find what they want locally.

You could try putting her on Facebook Marketplace or one of those local sites and see what you get. Start high--like $30 (be sure to highlight the red hair) then take best offer.

She is a lovely doll.
Sadly, Goldenvale as well as most other doll manufacturers produced so many dolls that it is unusual to find one that sold for over $50 and usually below $20-$25 - if they sell at all.

As a general rule the larger dolls - 20"-28" - will sell for more money but they are very difficult and costly to ship. It is unclear as to whether the taller sell faster or more often as it would have to be researched over a long period of time and no one is really interested enough to do that.
You do not state the height of your doll but I'm guessing it is about 20-25" tall as they produced them in several sizes. Umbrella dolls were made by several different companies - not just Goldenvale.
Umbrella dolls were never very popular as selling a doll without legs is usually difficult but many people bought the doll without knowing the umbrella was her "legs" and some sellers still do not mention this in their ads.
These dolls will have markings of 1-2000 and sometimes 1-3000 and this just means they made that many dolls in that fashion (but many different styles) although some people think this is just something they mark on their dolls and does not mean the number produced.

Dolls were usually sold in lower end stores like K-Mart, Toy Biz, drug stores, etc and advertised as "collectible" to push sales.
Stating the true value of these dolls (you may never find a Maurice for sale) is better if you see the sales for yourself. Here is a link to Goldenvale dolls that sold on eBay over the past several months. You will find some umbrella dolls did sell but we have no way to know how long it took them to sell as some sellers list items like this for months and months.

If you decide to sell your doll, I would suggest you list her on your local sites like Craigslist, USA4Sale and any other sites that are popular in your area - but only on sites that show pick up only - no shipping.

You will need several pictures as well as a description (with height) and mention red hair as it is popular in dolls.
I would start the price at $50 and lower it if no one shows an interest. Many times dolls will sell for more money if the potential buyer can see the doll in person.
