Ashton Drake dolls decrease in value. I have seen them for $35 on ebay, and frequently for far less.

I am very puzzled by this, as when I sold the Nicholas Winter Baby, he was a baby dressed in a bunting outfit with a snow man on it. I seem to remember there was a white one, a pale blue one and maybe a yellow one, but that is hazy. I never saw one dressed in a regular play type outfit.

Where you the original owner? Is it possible that the COA got switched with another doll. This little guy looks familiar, but I can't place his name.

Does he have a mark on the back of his neck? I am hoping I am wrong and this is just an aging memory going on....

Please post back what is on his neck.

I am not the original owner there are no marks on the back of the neck maybe I have the name wrong the papers that were in the box with the doll say Nicholas the winter baby but after your message and reading the papers I don't think the papers are for the doll sorry and thank you for asking I don't know anything about dolls and when I saw the papers I wanted to make sure I wasn't giving the thrift store my fortune.

Sadly most thrift stores are over run with dolls and some don't even take them. If yours does, that would be great! I very much doubt you are giving them a super valuable doll, as most of the modern dolls have resale values well under $25, some as low as $5.

If you know a child who would enjoy, that would be he best gift of all for the doll and the child! Dolls were meant to be loved!! Merry Christmas to you and yours! Have a lovely season!

I hope you found a nice home for your little boy but if not, I would take him to your local Hospice Thrift store after Christmas as they generally all like to have dolls for sale and they do not receive very many boy dolls.

I would suggest you place a free ad on Craigslist or Freecycle but you would receive so many calls that it would be very aggravating.

If you still have him you might try a free ad on NextDoor.com as that would be in your area.

Thank you all for your help the doll has a new owner a little girl that loves dolls I'm sure "he" will be very happy with his new owner.
