This is Rocky. He has gone through so many phases. Currently he is 9.5 months old. He seems to still need to grow into himself a bit more, his ears are huge and most people consider him a large dog, though I still see him as more medium-large. He is a great, alert dog, and super friendly with people and other dogs. He is extremely energetic and extremely intelligent! Please let me know what he may be mixed with!

I think there is basset hound and German Shepherd, and probably some other breeds in him.
I remember this sweet pup too!! He has grown and changed!! Still adorable through!!! I still love his spots, but there is no evidence of spaniel in him now!! The boxer look is also disappeared.
What I still see is Shepherd ears and now the face has more Shepherd in it. He still has sturdy paws, but the chest does not look have a bully look to it.
So grown up, I wonder if he has a few drops of dalmatian or blue tick hound in him...with those spots and ticking to his coloring.
Has the vet weighed in? Our vet is always spot on on her breed guestimates!

Im so happy for your replies! You are so helpful! I know he definitely has changed for sure! Some see his size when he stands and assume he has some Great Dane Im him. He isnt as tall of course but he seems he still has a bit of growing to do.
To me your dog looks like a Great Dane Bull Terrier cross. Should be a wonderful dog.
