What Breed Is This Dog?

What Breed Is This Dog?I found this pup at a shelter, but they have her listed as a terrier cross. I think she may be a Chihuahua. Any ideas on what she may be and how old she may be approximately would be greatly appreciated as I'm considering adopting her.

Thanks.

She is part Chihuahua. I think she is between 6 months and one year old.

If you are in love with the pup, the age and breed should not matter!! But that is just me!!

Can you show the photos to your vet or taker her to the vet to have her checked out. Our vet was so good when we adopted our first rescue and was able to give us a good estimate of his age and breed mix.

I sure hope you and the pup can find love!! She looks quite sweet!! Blessings!!

As a PS to my message, it was the teeth that our vet used to give us the approximate age of our first rescue. I found that interesting, but he said he looks for things like puppy or adult teeth, and if adult teeth, he looks for wear patterns. So if you are able to show a vet, see if you can take photos of the pups teeth (if you can't take the pup) to the vet! Please post back if you adopt!

Hi,

What a lovely puppy! I can tell she is part chihuahua. She also seems to be some part of another breed, which has floppy ears. I see her feet and legs are not muscular so I do not see her getting much bigger. She is so adorable.

If you do not want to guess, you can order DNA tests from places like Chewy.com or Walmart. Here is a link:

www.chewy.com/s?query=dog+dna+test&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjPqiz7m14AIVgonICh30pwGcEAAYASAAEgLLgPD_BwE

They run from around $100.00 to $400.00.

I would guess she might be mixed with small terrier type breed of dog, one that does not grow very big, such as a Jack Russel Terrier or some such little dog. Either way, she looks so adorable! Give her a hug from me if you see her again!

If you adopt her let us know!

Blessings,

Robyn

I clearly see the chihuahua and the small terrier. Could be a schnauzer. Glad you adopted her. She is adorable.
