Jazz up inexpensive frozen pizza by adding a few left over salad veggies or some picked right from your garden. Place the pizza into the oven to begin cooking, while you chop up a few veggies. As soon as the cheese on the pizza begins to melt, open the oven door and sprinkle the veggies over the cheese. Finish cooking the pizza, and you now have your own deluxe version to serve at less than half the cost of a purchased one.

I always add extra nutrition to the frozen food for the kids, the fun foods, as I like to call them. I will add a piece of frozen broccoli to the dinner if it only takes a few minutes or cook, just stick it under the plastic. If the dinner takes longer than a few minutes, I will cook it after the dinner is cooked for 1 and 1/2 minute or so. The kids like to eat the broccoli in the cheese sauce that comes with the macaroni.


I like to make sure with every bit of protein they get to eat, they eat a fresh piece of vegetable with it. They seem to love either eating broccoli or baby carrots with their meals. I like to make it their choice each week which fresh vegetable they will get to eat with their meals for that week.

The trick to food combinations is filling them up with the good food in the first place. They have to buy junk food their own selves, by the way.

I like those small brownies that are the desert portion for those cheap dollar frozen dinners, which we often serve for snacks or meals. They are so wonderful because there is not a full plate of junk food to eat thrust in front of them, but just that small portion. Well I found out that when you add a medium size dollop of strawberry yogurt on top of that small little brownie it is awesome beyond words. It tastes like a choclolate strawberry shortcake, and you cannot overindulge because the portion is small. The taste just pops out so much more with a little strawberry yogurt on top of it.


I have lost tons of weight by eating these meals and putting extra veggies in them and mainly cutting bread down by 90 percent. I didn't really intend to lose the weight, but I was just feeling that the bread I was consuming was doing nothing for me postive, and making me feel sluggish and out of energy.

Food combinations were the most important thing for me to find out. I needed to find out which food combinations made me ffeel the most clearminded and relaxed and energetic. It is easy to make friends with foods that pay off with wonderful results when you eat them! I'm teaching this to my kids.

I save a lot of money on pizza by buying a plain cheese with nothing but cheese and tomato sauce on it add our favorite ingredients. I purchase a Totino's Pizza and add a variety of the following: Green Giant sliced mushrooms, chopped bell pepper, a little chopped onion, Canadian bacon, Hormel pre-sliced pepperoni.


You can go all out and at baby shrimp and smoked oysters or brown a little ground round or ground sirloin and sausage if you like. Sometimes I will add a little more tomato sauce on top of the cheese that comes on the pizza if I am going to put a lot of different toppings on it.

At the end, sprinkle a little extra shredded cheese on top. You can use the 3 cheese mix or just mozzarella. Bake in the oven at 425 degrees F for 13 to 18 minutes, depending on how large your pizza is. I like the Totino's because it has a thin crust which turns out good and crisp and it is just the right size for 2 people to eat. The limit is your imagination.
