Use two spoons held tightly together when scooping out ice cream.

Editor's Note: Good idea, especially if you don't have an ice cream scoop handy, no more bent spoons.

If you're having a party or something and you know you'll be using all the ice cream, go ahead and pre-scoop all the ice cream and put all the scoops in a large bowl and cover until needed. Then there is no struggle scooping. It's already done. Just separate and serve!

If you're serving ice cream for yourself, use a soup spoon as the scoop, then as your eating utensil.

You've saved yourself the effort of washing one tool, and one that is often the harder to wash.

This also works if you're serving for several people and one person has a large enough mouth. (grin)
