This is a cool smoker/whiskey table sometimes people call them cigar tables. The logo is post 1960. I can't find the record I am looking for and will keep searching, I think the phrase ancestral mahogany was popular in the 1970s.

The style is queen anne.

Amazing, thank you so much. I was trying to narrow down the appropriate age. I purchased it at an estate sale this weekend. The woman who owned it passed at 100 years old. I wasn't even sure what to "call" this table. I personally had never seen anything like it before. Thanks so much for the reply.

You are welcome. One last thing is I have also seen these called club and tea tables. Can't find the document to confirm the term ancestry mahogany.

Mahogany furniture dating from 1936 to the mid-1950's often carries a Mahogany Association label with Genuine Mahogany and the corresponding company number (155 for Brandt Cabinet Works), like here johntheauctioneer.hibid.com/.../?q=&ref=catalog. Your desk does not have this sticker. Therefore, your desk is made after the mid-1950s. I think your desk was probably made in the 1960s, as your desk has the inscription Ancestry Mahogany. Ancestry was later shortened to Ant., For example, as here www.ebay.com/.../193742141646.

I found a table like yours with the same inscription Ancestry Mahogany, but in the worst condition, it was auctioned for $ 20 tylergraceauctions.hibid.com/.../

I found the "Brandt 1960." furniture catalog by Brandt Cabinet Works Inc. There is The Eden collection. The furniture in this collection has legs like your table, they named furniture with such legs "Queen Ann", for example QUEEN ANNE END TABLE archive.org/.../Brandt%20Cabinet%20Works%20Inc._djvu

A table like this sold on eBay. To classify as true vintage, it has to be at least 50 years old, but less than 100 years old. At 100 years old, it is considered an antique.

Thanks for your reply. I was hoping to narrow down the age a bit more. Brandt was in business from 1901 to 1985.
