Anyone Recognize My Stuffed Rabbit?

A girl holding a grey stuffed rabbit.I was born in 1995 and I've had him since then. He doesn't have a tag anymore. My mom bought him in the late 80s in South Bend, IN.

It is hard to tell by the photo.

I can tell you that in the late 1980s, Dakin, Toys R Us, Applause, Russ Berrie, and Hallmark were the big makers of plushies like this.

You could start your search on Etsy or eBay using the names and bunny, vintage bunny, flop ear bunny and see what pops up.

There were dozens of other makers--these are the big ones.

Good luck and blessings in your search!!

Back in the 80s, these were everywhere in the stores around Easter. My daughter was only 4 or 5 during this time and I had tons of these rabbits given to her for Easter. I know that some of her Easter baskets came with them inside of them and she loved them very much.

At some of the local markets back then like Ralphs and Vons they dols very large Easter baskets with this type of rabbit in them. I could also go to Toys R Us and find tons of them there.

Very difficult to identify a plush animal without a tag as so many companies copied each other and maybe only made minor changes. Most were inexpensive and sold in every type of store; from grocery stores to big box stores (these were many times set up as 'impulse buys'), toy stores were booming in the 80's and may have had several bunnies in the same style with very little differences.

You say you've had him since 1995 so can you show a recent picture - maybe several?

Otherwise I can only suggest you try some of the sites that try to help people find information about their treasures. You will have to join groups but these members are usually very good at identifying these items.
Here are some to check out but there are more online if you're interested. Be sure you also have the size of the bunny.
