Cat Peeing All Over Inside?

I have 3 cats that are indoor/outdoor cats. I got one this summer from the pound and she and my other cats never got along in the beginning. They have started getting along, but my new cat started peeing in my brother's bed where my other cats sleep. Just recently she peed on the counter on a waterer for my bunnies like she was marking her territory. How do I fix this? I can't have her peeing all over my house and marking her territory. If I can't fix this I have to get rid of her :(

Talk to your vet first to rule out any health issues, including stress, which can be reduced in some cats through medication or natural supplements that are vet approved.

I would hate to see the sweetie become homeless so I am hoping the vet will have good answers for you!! It is always important to rule out a health issue first, then talk about the other issues which includes the stress.

Post back how things are resolved! Prayers!!!

Just got back from the vet and he said it was a behavioral thing. Therefore, my kitty is on lockdown in my room for 3 weeks. Fingers crossed it works because I dont want to get rid of her :(

I would wash everything with an enzyme cleaner like Natures Miracle to get rid of the scent. Contact the vet to rule out a UTI or other physical issue.

The vet will certainly have suggestions on how to fix this problem

It sounds from your post like you have several household pets. It may be that there are enough that is adding up to a fairly high stress level for this cat. She wasnt a great fit for the resident cats so there is some stress there that cant be changed. I would try to lower the stress level to see if it helps. It usually does. Some cats need to be up high to feel confident. Make sure she can get up and away from everything. I have a cat bed on my desk (its big) and my cats can jump on a table and up to a book shelf.

They love to be up there surveying everything down below. Seems to be very relaxing for them. Beyond that think about the noise levels in the house. Anger and general chaos is wearing for animals. Soft quiet music is very soothing for them. Maybe you have a quiet room where they can have a bed with quiet music. If they have enough "territory", even if you have created it just in your home, they usually relax.
