Yield: 4 pork chops

Steps:

  1. In a large pan, heat oil and one of the tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add pork chops. Cook 4 to 5 minutes on each side.

  5. Meanwhile in a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.

  7. Remove chops from pan and keep warm. Add the other tablespoon of butter to the pan with all the pork juices still in it.

  9. Add apples, onions, garlic pecans, brown sugar mixture to the pan.

  11. Cook and stir until apples are tender and mixture becomes syrupy. Serve with the pork chops.

This sounds delicious. I will be trying it. I may skimp on the cinnamon, a bit. I was wondering how it would be to return the chops to the pan with the apples, so they could absorb more of these flavors.

I agree with likekinds about returning the chops to the pan for a few minutes. I will cover the pan so they do not dry out. I also will use half the brown sugar so it won't be so sweet.
