I have cream walls, dark grey sofa, gloss black and white display cabinet, and black Venetian blinds.
What colour curtains will go? Do I need them floor length or window height?

i would go with floor length and more than likely a cranberry red color. This would tie in the other color nicely in your room. I think it would add a bit of contrast to the room too.
