I can tell you in general, it is often good to partner with a large company in your town to help the employees collect supplies for your school. I worked for a big company for many years and they would approach our marketing department to set up these drives.
The other thing is if you have a food pantry, they often have supply drives and can help.

Most school supply's are marked down now here in the southern states! School has been in about 3 to 4 weeks. You could always ask the stores in your area for additional savings/donation. Sometimes there is a lot of things they are willing to let go from there inventory!
